My Hearty Life
I recently discovered a new blog through twitter, the beautiful Mary writes about her life over at The Hearty Life She decided at the beginning of the year to start her own linkie #myheartylife. It is currently a little seedling, but I see it growing into so much more.
There are three simple prompts for you to focus on through out the week. What you are Grateful for, What you have Suceeded at and what you have found beauty in.
The purpose of these prompts are to get us focusing on the positives that are happening everyday in our lives. These prompts are to draw us back into the present. To keep our feet firmly ground when we feel we are spiralling in a sea of negativity.
Kind people. This week I have had quite a bit of help from fellow bloggers, people who are more successful than me. People who have been willing to answer my questions and show me simple tips and tricks to run my blog more effectively. I am grateful for every comment on and share of my blog. It might seem shallow, but this week has solidified my desire to make something more of this blog.
This week I have succeeded at living my over arching word of the year, which you can read about here. This has seen me clean the whole of the upstairs of my house, secure my first guest writer spot on another blog, hit my target viewership for the month and link up to #myheartylife. It may not seem like much for others but it means I am going into this next week feeing positive and full of momentum.
Found Beauty In…
Cleaning. I know it sounds crazy. This weekend my husband has been away at GameJam, no I never made it up, it is actually called that. Sean is currently studying for his Masters in Something to do with gaming.
The university were part of an event where teams are given a brief and 48 hours to deconstruct the brief and create a working playable game. What an experience, if you are into that kind of thing.
Whilst Sean was off at GameJam I was solo parenting all four boys. Instead of thinking about how nice it must be for Sean going off doing what he loves. I thought about how exhausted he was going to be when he came home.
I thought that making sure the house was much tidier than normal and ensuring the bedroom had fresh bedding, no clothes or rubbish on the floor and generally a nice calm environment would be so nice for him to come home to. Taking the time to tidy was a physical way of expressing my love and in-turn I found the beauty in cleaning.
Thank you so much for reading. I will be linking up every Sunday. Feel free to click the photo below to go and read Mary’s latest post and to see who else has Linked up to. Of you are a blogger why’s dont you share some love and link up to!
